Villa Fratticciola

"This is an excellent find in Tuscany. Location: Close to Cortona town, a drive away from Siena, Montepulciano and other smaller villages, this is away from the noise, yet close enough. Accommodation: A brilliant villa for 3 families. The house has 3 fully functioning kitchens, each with a dishwasher so you can maintain separate meals yet, eat together if you want. It has a BBQ area which is lovely with a gazebo. The rooms come equipped with single and double beds. One thing we felt was the double beds were actually single beds wedged together so it was a bit uncomfortable at night. All rooms (including living area) come equipped with air conditioning, which is a great blessing as we came during the heatwave and cooling was much needed. There is a laundromat in the basement and a parking outside. Would have been great if there was a cover to the parking - again heatwave was there during our time and there are no large shady trees to park under. Poolside: This is probably the best and most fun part of the villa as the lovely pool overlooks the beautiful countryside. Host: Anita is a lovely hands on host. She lives next door and is available promptly. One evening the wi-fi was not working, she had promptly arranged for an alternative hotspot. Tips: The villa does not come equipped with any food - not even salt, sugar, oil. We had to buy everything at the store upon arrival including garbage bags, detergent, handwash, bodywash - everything. If you can bring these basic things in advance with you would be better."

"Kohde oli tasokas ja hyvin varusteltu. Iso allas ja maisemat pihalta suurimmat plussat. Moottoritien ja junaradan läheisyys ennen matkaa arvelutti, mutta niistä ei tullut juuri lainkaan melua talolle eivätkä ne myöskään näy talon pihamaalle. Moottoritien lähellä oleva sijainti on pikemminkin iso plussa liikenneyhteyksien kannalta, kuin viihtyvyyshaitta. Omistajat asuivat vieressä ja olivat oikein avuliaita ja mukavia."
