"Upealla näkymällä oleva siisti huvila. Erittäin ystävällinen ja auttavainen omistaja pariskunta. Ainoa miinus oli 10 km pitkä kapea vuoristotie, mutta hienot maisemat perillä korvasivat vaivan. Kari"

"Fantastic is an understatement, everything about the villa is top quality from pristine linens and towels to Berlinger Haus Pans, the details around the villa don’t go I missed you can tell that it’s been built (by Zdenko) with pride and expertise, it’s impeccably clean, the view is to die for, pool and jacuzzi amazing (water in them is perfect, not too many chemicals so left skin feeling wonderful). Also you couldn’t ask for better hosts than Mare and Zdenko. We have loved every minute of our stay there and hope to visit again in the future. Thank you!"

"The house is in quiet village at the foot of the mountain. Villa is really beautiful and very well-equipment. You can find there everything you want. The owners are fantastic and very helpful people. They greeted us with red wine and delicious homemade bread, cheese and ham. The view from this house is incredibley especially in the evening. You can eat supper and see the whole Split - amazing! There is a big swimming pool and jacuzzi. In back of house there is a plauground with swings and slide. There is also a sports ground with trampoline. We have been in Croatia many times and this place is one of the best. We hope to return there."

"Well where do I start, I cannot recommend this villa highly enough from the homely feel to the breathtaking views from the terrace, and not to mention the wonderful Hosts. We arrived at Split airport at around 10 am and collected our hire car, we knew it was early but wanted to get a full day in before setting off to the villa. We then contacted the villa owners who said that their daughter Kate would meet us at 4pm and advised us to take a trip to Trogir. Trogir was a beautiful old town located about 16 km from split a charming place with lots of lovely narrow winding streets. A very nice start to the holiday and to see Croatia. On the way we took a trip to a supermarket (Lidls). Other supermarkets are available ;-) we got a few supplies for the villa, I recommend fresh milk but don’t get it until you set off for the villa it was 34 deg that day. The journey to the villa took us through the real non-touristy part of Croatia with twisty roads up high into the mountains. About 20 minute from Split. On arrival at the villa we met Kate, (the owners daughter). Kate welcomed us with a plate of ham, cheese, fresh bread and tomatoes grown on the villas vegetable plot. The villa was stunning in every way the view from the terrace was spectacular and I have never seen a sunset like it. The backdrop of the mountain is also beautiful. The local village shop does close in the afternoon but opens at about 6 for a couple of hours you can buy basics here but if you want more then a 30 min trip to the supermarket is advisable. the swiming pool was so nice to get into when the temperature was up in the 30's and a very relaxing lie in the sun on days we did not go out. Mare and Zdenko met us the very next day in the evening they were lovely and could not do enough for us they were very proud of there villa and rightly so it was so beautiful, Mare told us that Zdenko fashioned the villa stones himself, and what a fantastic job with such attention to detail. Zdenko a professional climber took my son down the road where he had set up a small climbing excercise and even let him keep the equipment for the rest of our stay. Mare worked for the tourist board and had excellent local knowledge of places to visit. One evening they cooked us a fish supper on the Dalmatian oven it was the best fish I had ever tasted and only topped by Zdenko and Mare sitting with us and eating as the sun went down, sipping Zdenkos home made wine. I do hope we can return again."

"We spent a lovely two weeks here. The villa was spotlessly clean and a great place to be. The views are even better than they look on the website! Our hosts, Mare and Zdenko, were incredibly welcoming. Mare works for local tourist information services, so knows everything you might need to know about where to go and what to do and was always on hand and responsive when we had any queries. The location was a little more isolated than we thought it might be (around 30 minutes drive to the nearest supermarket), but if you are looking for a very quiet location where you can enjoy the sunshine and admire the wonderful views, then this is fine. One of the highlights of our stay was the meal that Zdenko made for us (a local delicacy)...it was one of the best meals I've EVER had, with freshly baked bread from Mare to go with it...wonderful! Mare suggested a visit to Trogir, which we did on our very last day before going to the airport (which is nearby), and I would highly recommend that. It was lovely just to stroll around. Finally, Zdenko just loves an inflatable pink flamingo in his pool, so that would always be a good thing to take along as a leaving present for him :)"

"This was an outstanding experience. The Villa is in a wonderful location set in a perched village just 20 minutes drive from Split. Our welcome by Mare and Zdenko was warm and very friendly and they are rightly very proud of the Villa. This is made all the more understandable when you realise that it was built and designed by Zdenko himself. The journey to the villa is part of the experience, threading through unspoilt countryside and small villages the twisty roads take you to to a different world after leaving the hustle and bustle of Split. The trip takes about 20 minutes from Split and the village itself would not be described as "touristy". There is a local shop and also a couple of restaurants and the locals are always happy to wave and chat. The pool and terrace are a perfect way to unwind after a day of sightseeing and the views can only be described as spectacular offering a panoramic vista to the coast and Split as well as dramatic mountains. To the rear there is a dramatic rocky backdrop which apparently offers challenging walks and climbing for the more adventurous!! Both Mare and Zdenko know the mountains intimately and are happy to advise on routes/walks. Sunsets are spectacular and the BBQ/traditional oven coupled with some of Zdenko's tasty red wine is a great way to round off the day! An unexpected highlight for us was the evening meal "peka" provided by Mare & Zdenko and cooked in a huge dish in the BBQ. The homemade bread was also delicious and again Zdenko's red wine was provided in copious quantity! Mare & Zdenko are excellent company and could not have done more to make us feel at home. There is lots to see with the benefit of a car and the waterfalls at Krka were a particular gem. All in all a 10 out of 10 and we would love to return one day."
